We are a rural Somerset parish with a generous and diverse local community, a committed and supportive congregation and a welcoming church building that is undergoing restoration, which began with a new roof in 2018. The ‘Templecombe Head’ Panel Painting has hung in the church since 1956. It was discovered in a garden outhouse in 1945 and has been carbon dated to 1280 and linked to the Knights Templar who owned property locally. It attracts visitors from around the world.

This relationship plays an important role in the life of our school and helps to strengthen our Christian vision and values. Through our partnership with St Mary’s, children are given regular opportunities to experience the Christian faith in a meaningful and welcoming way, while also developing a sense of belonging within the wider community.
We work closely with members of the church to support the spiritual development of our pupils. Clergy and church representatives are involved in the life of the school through collective worship, special services, visits, celebrations, and community events. Their presence helps children to make connections between Christian teaching, worship, and everyday life.
